Performance is enhanced with the hybrid system delivering a combined 347 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, representing significant increases over the standard model. This allows the GV80 HEV to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in approximately 7.1 seconds. The system also features the first liquid-cooled battery in a Hyundai Motor Group hybrid, improving efficiency.
The GV80 HEV debuts with a new exterior design, including the Crest Grille, and an interior offering four new two-tone color combinations and new wood trim options. This launch represents a strategic shift for Genesis, which had initially planned to sell only electric vehicles but has now delayed that goal to introduce hybrid and extended-range models.
